1) Statement of Applicability

This version of firmware is only applicable for TN2312AP hardware vintage 1
and vintage 2.

Firmware vintage 3 (FV3) addresses the following issues:

FV3 corrects a problem that could cause the "golden" TN2312AP that 
tracks license keys to experience a problem after a few months of
operation, placing the S8700 server into License Error Mode.

FV3 fixes a problem, which can cause the MFC test to fail 
continuously, causing software to respond by taking the failed port
out of service and generating a minor alarm.

FV3 corrects a situation where, during an TN2312AP interchange, the
going-standby TN2312AP might not complete its reset.

The TN2312AP only supports firmware download from a S8700 Media Server
over a TCP/IP connection.

Required: 
    S8700 Media Server
    TN2312AP circuit pack with TCP/IP connection to Server.
    Browser Access to the Customer Support Web site (http://support.avaya.com),
    The file should be copied to the /var/home/ftp directory on the S8700
    Server.

4) File Download Instructions

If you are already at the Definity Firmware download site, please skip to
step 3.

Step 1. direct your browser to <http://support.avaya.com>.  Find ONLINE SERVICES
in the top section of the page, right below the AVAYA logo.  Click on ONLINE 
SERVICES to open a menu.  Find Download Software and click on it.  

Step 2. Now you should be on a page with a large table on it.  Find "Avaya 
Media Server and Media Gateway Firmware Downloads" in Document Title column 
within the Grouping section called Communications Systems and click on it.

Step 3. This is the Avaya Media Server and Media Gateway Firmware Downloads 
main page.  Download the file tn2312ap_f3.bin, under the section for TN2312AP, 
to the S8700 Media Server.

Step 4.  Use the Web Page on the S8700 Media Server to download the TN2312AP 
circuit packs and monitor the download status.

Firmware Vintage 3 is the second official firmware release for the TN2312AP
and is the equivalent of Development Vintage 48 that was deployed to some
Early Introduction systems.
