Use this procedure to specify the following:
- The number of rings before sending calls to Group Coverage when the
sender does not have Primary or Secondary Coverage or the receivers are
not available and the Group Coverage receiver is either only a Calling
Group or the QCC queue (no Group Cover buttons are programmed on any
multiline telephones).
- The number of rings, in addition to the Primary Cover Ring delay,
before sending calls to Group Coverage when the sender has Primary or
Secondary Coverage and the receivers are available.
- In releases Prior to 4.1, the cover delay is system wide. If you
change the setting, every user will be effected.
- The number of rings before a call covers to voice mail will be delayed
if an extension has individual coverage points.
Group Coverage Ring Delay is available for Release 4.1 and later systems.
To administer Group Coverage Ring Delay from the System Programming
console or through System Programming and Maintenance (SPM):
- Press Menu.
- Press System Program.
- Press Exit or Start.
- Press Extensions.
- Press More or Right Arrow Key two times.
- Press Cover Delay.
- Press Group Cover.
- Dial the extension number of the sender.
- Press Enter.
- Dial number of rings (1-9)
- Press Enter.
- Press Exit or Back.
- Press Home or Exit to exit programming mode
To administer Cover Delay for Release 4.0 and prior systems from the main
System Programming console or through System Programming and Maintenance (SPM):
- Press Menu.
- Press System Program.
- Press Exit.
- Press Options.
- Press More.
- Press Cover Delay.
- Backspace out the old entry.
- Dial the number of rings (1-9).
- Press Enter.
- Press Exit and Home to exit programming mode.
