How do I program Voice Announce?

Voice Announce allows multiline 4400-series, MLX, ETR, and MLS telephone users to receive inside calls on their speakerphones. MLX telephone users can receive a voice-announced call even if they are already on a call. A telephone user can turn off all incoming voice announcements, calls made from a System Access Voice or Intercom Voice button on another extension, or group pages.

The Voice Announce on Idle Only feature is also available for MLX and 4400-series telephones with Legend Release 7.0 or Merlin Magix. This further enhancement to the Voice Announce feature allows you to receive voice announcements only when you are not active on another call.

Notes:

  • The 4400/4400D telephones do not have speakerphones and therefore cannot receive voice-announced calls. Such calls ring at these telephones.

Voice Announce to Busy is available on all releases. Voice Announce to Idle is available on Merlin Magix.

Telephones:  MLX, MLS, ETR and 4400-series telephones with speakerphones.
