How to use the Send Message (also known as Message Waiting)
feature on Merlin 206/410/820 FP2 systems.
This feature is not available on 206/410/820 Basic or FP1 systems.
Note: You cannot turn on a Message Light with a single line
telephone.
To turn on a Message light:
This programming must be done from extension 10.
1. Press [ Send Message ] . The Send Message button is also the
Administration button, which is located on the far right bottom
button on a 34-button telephone.
2. Press the Auto Intercom button for the person's telephone; the
red light next to the Auto Intercom button goes on indicating the
person's light is lit.
To turn Off the Message light from extension 10:
1. Press [ Send Message ] . The Send Message button is also the
Administration button, which is located on the far right bottom
button on a 34-button telephone.
2. Press the Auto Intercom button for the person's telephone; the
red light next to the Auto Intercom button goes Off, indicating
the person's message light is now off.
or
1. Simply press the [ Message ] button at the telephone. The
message light will go off.
