This is the ReadMe file for Release 2.0 of the Avaya 2420 Telephone software. The release consists of only one file, 2420_R2.bin, which is the binary software image that can be downloaded from the MultiVantage (TM) switch to a 2420 digital telephone. NEW FEATURES in Release 2.0: - Group Listen. When administered at the MultiVantage switch for Group Listen, the 2420 will provide the ability to turn on the Speaker (listen-only) while still using the 2420 handset or headset. [The default option is for the normal full speakerphone where the handset or headset is not active when speaker is on.] IMPROVEMENTS in Release 2.0 over Release 1.0: - Additional feature-button status icons. - Minor improvement to speakerphone operation. KNOWN ISSUES in Release 2.0: None at this time. UPGRADING From Release 1.0: The 2420_R2.bin file must be loaded into MultiVantage memory to be available for downloading to 2420 telephones. Refer to the Administrator's Guide for Avaya MultiVantage Software (555-233-506), Chapter 3, section "2420 DCP Telephone" for details on the appropriate switch administration procedures.
